3 College Choices
UC Santa Cruz: My first college choice would be to attend the University of Santa Cruz. I toured this campus for the junior year campus crawl. It was the college that impressed me the most. The tour was amazing and well thought out, the campus was beautiful, the area is full of mountains and beaches, they have my desired majors of marine science and oceanography, they have a cool mascot, and they have guaranteed housing for transfer students for one year. It is now my dream college because of how perfect it seems. It has all the living accommodations and I could see myself being very happy there.
Humboldt State University: I would love to attend this college due to how outdoors and unique it is. I discovered this college at a college fair in which they handed me their flyer. It seems to interest me on how they have a marine lab, the area is very desk-free, they're a small school, and they are very active and social. I think that I could really study botany and marine science there because of the way the college is structured. I still need to do more research on this college, but I could also see myself attending this school and really get out of my comfort zone. UC San Diego: I have been to this college so many times that I forgot how many times I've visited. I would count this college as my third option only because the school is well known for engineering and I am definitely not passionate about that. I also want to leave my past behind and completely start over in an area away from home. I don't want people to know what I really am. Besides that, I do know they have a marine center where they do research on starfish and other marine life. I also know this one is close to home which would probably make it a bit more affordable considering travel expenses. I like the school culture and the campus. This would be my third option when it comes to applying for college. My major would be marine science or biology. |
